2021 New Hanover County Polar Plunge in Kure Beach

Support Special Olympics athletes by running and taking a chilling plunge this February.  The poplar Polar Plunge & Run has gone virtual for 2021.  You can run, walk, or plunge anytime, anywhere February 20 – February 28, 2021.  Or… run AND plunge!

The 2021 event is in memory of Dick Agnitsch, one of Special Olympics NHC’s longest standing committee member. Dick was a huge asset to Special Olympics, he volunteered in every capacity over 15 years and will be greatly missed.

5K & 1 Mile: Run/Walk anytime, anywhere.  To submit your finish time, click HERE and then on Submit Virtual Results.

The Plunge: Take a chilling plunge or toe-dip into the ocean, a river, or pool. Or, plunge in place in an ice tub.
